Prince of Wales - Canadian Rockies Inn
Watching the travel Channel and there running the series Great Inns of the Canadian Rockies. One of the Inns was the Prince of Wales. It appears that the male staff wear Royal Stewart kilts as their uniform. They showed Bell Hops and Waiters wearing them. As good as it is to see the Kilt used, they looked a bit sloppy the way they were put together with a white shirt and tie. Probably due to the guys wearing them low on the hips like jeans when they were tailored to be worn high on the waist. If any of our Canadian brothers could stop by and tell them to wear it right please
A great series though.

I'll see what I can do. Karen and I are heading down that way on Sunday, if we have time we'll stop by the hotel. Neither of us have been there before.

However, unless it's cold and raining I won't be kilted on this trip. We plan to ride the motorcycle down to Whitefish Montana for the long weekend and spend some time exploring Glacier Nat'l Park. If we get to The Prince of Wales Hotel it will just be a side trip on the way home.

Prince of Wales Kilts
I stayed there three years ago, and asked the waitstaff about the kilts. They're teenagers and wear the kilts like a MacDonald's uniform, they'd rather not, but they need the money. Still it was interesting to see. The hotel is beautiful and really worth the trip. But of course that whole part of the world is beautiful.
Respectfully,
David
PS Also got to Calgary for the Stampede....now that's fun!
