Regional Forums
I think it would be nice to have a Regional Forum for impromptu meet ups and goings on. It would be a less formal posting than the Kilt Nights Forum.
Case in point, there is a Celtic Feast & Beer Tasting Dinner at a local pub. I can't attend, but many others may wish to attend! It would be nice to just post it up for all others in your region to see.
Keeping it regionalized would help to keep it focused on local events.
To minimalize forum load, you could delete all posts in it that are a month old. That way it keeps things current.
Just a thought..

Paul, we'll give this some consideration.
We're working on some other projects at present and we need to get them all ironed out and running smoothly, but we'll take a look at your idea.

I have to say I'm lukewarm to the idea of regional forums.
What if someone on holiday in another area wants to join in a kilt meet?
Why keep it a secret for the locals?

I think that if we did move forward with it it wouldnt be viewed by only people in that region. I think that all would be able to see it. It would just be a sub-forum.
We will give it some thought for sure.

Yes, I think the idea is similar to those on other forums; a new england, northeast, md atlantic, ect forums; they are all open, and you can browse any of them, not just your own region. I, for one, think the idea is excellent, and REALLY appreciate that the mods will look into it.

Paul,
That's a great idea! One of the first areas I would go to after logging on. BTW Paul, thanks for the heads up about the beer tasting and dinner event on Monday. Unfortunatly, I won't be able to go - sounds like a real blast though.

Will you be able to make the Kilt Night?
