guess I should post one of these too
here's a bit about me (even though I'm a bit late in a hi I'm the new guy post)
I live in North Georgia... around the Adairsville area and have been kilted for the last 3 years.. my first kilt was a Utilikilt Original in black...and due to the company I work for, a kilt was not allowed in the dress code. so kilt wearing was only for around the house or while camping... Then something wonderful happened, my company listened to the employees and told us all to work from home!.. that means no dress code unless traveling for company business or attending training. (I do server support for voice recognition servers in hospitals making life either easier or horrible for radiologists depending on which one you ask and on what day you ask)
Since working from home I have been kilted every single day (going on a year now) I wear my kilt everywhere I go and wear it for everything I do (brewing, BBQ, yard work etc..). the down side to working at home, I eat healthier and have gotten more exercise in by going up and down the stairs all the time.. the result, I lost weight... a LOT of weight. my beloved black UK no longer fit... My wife being incredibly upset at me not wearing my kilt, bought me a new UK... this time in desert camo.. as well as decreeing that I should have many more kilts in my closet. She has even decided to tackle the X-Kilt and make kilts for me as well as my 2 boys (once I can figure out what box her sewing machine is in... we just moved and everything is still packed in boxes,.. somewhere in this house)
For those that might want to know about my user name... MysticMead... I brew my own beer and mead.. to make the bottles of mead look more professional when giving them as gifts, I needed a name.. Since mead has a great history associated with myth and mystery, I chose MysticMead for the label.. and since every time I try to use my other online name (Kaelan) it's already taken I pretty much only use MysticMead now... seems no one uses that name
that's me n a nutshell... if anyone has anything they want to know... just ask..I'm not shy
