High quality and affordable
I'm hoping that this post won't step on any toes and is in the correct section of the forums.
For years I have been doing business with The Scotland Yard and I have found that this company carries high quality merchandise at affordable prices.. and their customer service is excellent. This company even has a time pay plan which allows you to purchase merchandise and pay $75.00 USD up front and then pay $50.00 USD per month until the balance is paid in full. This is not a "lay away" scheme, they will ship the merchandise to you when it is ready. I have ordered six tanks, and other items, from them in the past and have been very happy with their merchandise, service, and wide variety of tartans. Whatever you're planning to purchase, consider this wonderful company. Oh, and tell them Ian MacGregor sent you.
I wonder if it would be worth speaking with this company and see if they're willing to be added to our list of sponsors.

I'll second this, other than their UK rip off, which is junk. I got my tweed jacket from them (they're not far from me either).

I see they are going to be at the Estes Park Longs Peak Scottish Highland Festival. I'll have to stop by their booth.

I got my ghillies for band from them a few years back. They were very good people to deal with and my shoes are of good quality. They get two thumbs up!

Ardchoille,
Thanks for the tip. I looked at their site, I think I might try a kilt from them. Any word on whether they were willing to join the site as a vendor?

Not sure, I'll contact them. They're a very good company and have kept me happy for a long while.

I purchased my Sporran Suspenders and brown kilt hose from them at the Central New York Highland Games. The guy was actually wearing a kilt! He was well versed, He told me he had a new thing for a sporran, I asked of they were the suspenders? He said yes, I stated thats what i am looking for! I am always surprised at the number of vendors that sell Scottish items and don't even own or wear a kilt! I don't know if i would trust them??????

This is a great suggestion. If anyone is a regular customer and thinks that they would be a good fit to the site, they can be directed here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/page/advertising.php
I love the idea of a payment plan for a kilt.
PS I moved the topic to General Kilt Talk as the For Sale area is for members to sell off their personal gear.
