Tulsa, OK to Lexington, KY (by bicycle)
It's finally here! The last leg of my bicycle journey across America.
By way of introduction, I posted the following last year:
http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=17844
My two-week vacation this year starts next Saturday, Sept 8th. The bike has already been shipped to Tulsa, awaiting my arrival. On Sept 23rd, at the end of this ride, the completed map will look like this:

What a trip this will be - and has been! Six summers outings... the first before I turned 50, the last before I turn 55. My first public kilting was during the first segment - a Sport Kilt Red Stewart, long since retired. I've seen an awful lot of this country, the U.S.A., along the way and taken lots of pictures. I lost a wife along the way - in Kansas, undoubtedly - and strongly considered giving up this last segment. But this ride has to do with me, not her, so I'm persevering to finish this despite the divorce of this last year. Yes, indeed, quite a trip.
This won't be the end of my cycling or touring, but it does mark the completion of a long-held "life list" item.

Just let us know, and we'll see about arranging an impromptu kilt night here in Springfield with some of the St. Andrew's society lads!
