I've been a fan of the Battlefield Band for years, but have never had the chance to see them live. Here's a link to the band's site: http://www.battlefieldband.co.uk/
Thanks, for this post Matt. I see they will be in Virginia at Wolf Trap next month. I've not heard them but judging by their web site I would like them. Placed an order at Amazon for 2 of their CDs.

Bumping this up because it's tonight. There will be a contingent from the Scottish Tartans Museum there (myself included!)
I've got tickets for their show Saturday night at the Palladium in St. Petersburg!
I had the chance to see them about 2 years ago. They were great and You Gents are in for a treat.

I sincerely hope that some of you had a chance to go and listen to The Battlefield Band. We just played with them in Hartford at "Pipes In The Valley" and spent the rest of the evening with them at the bar. They are truly amazing musicians and wonderful guys! Shame they don't have another twenty instruments that they play too. Take Matt's recommendation and hit their shows for some authentic Scottish tunes. You won't be sorry.

I’ve enjoyed the CDs of the Battlefield Band. I’ve made reservations for their performance next Sunday, 10/21 at Wolf Trap. Thanks, Matt!
The wife and I saw them when they were here on Sept 30th. Great show! Been a fan of theirs for 25+ years....

The Battlefield Band delivered last night to a full house at the Barn at Wolf Trap. It was the band’s last gig for their 2007 North American tour. They went across the pond to go home today. My wife really enjoyed the show and I purchased their song book for her. There were a few kilties there. Our usher Joe Bean was full of questions about my kilt. He belongs to the MacBean clan and he is ready to buy a kilt. He is headed to the Folk School in Brasstown, NC. On his way said he will be stopping by the Scottish Tartans Museum in Franklin to see Mr. Newsome.
