    I LIKE that thinking!

    A week and a half ago . . .
I went to Atlanta for a TCA train show/swap meet on Sat. morning (wearing my Wallace kilt). Wilson is a SERIOUS train-nut. So, it was me, my son and his grandfather (my father) playing with trains.
then went to that Kirking of the Tartans on Sunday (wearing my MacNeil kilt).
    Good weekend.

Working in a locomotive factory is interesting when it comes to train nuts. There's not so many anymore but one guy, who just retired, would work all day. Punch out but visit other departments, offering them a hand with difficult things. He would then drive about an hour away to a vintage railroad reconstruction project (L&PS) and work on that until dark. He would then go work on his own model set up and/or the club's. He was always pushing open houses.
His intent on retiring was to photograph every rail bridge around the great lakes.

I don't think the company ever realized how much knowledge he took with him when he left.

Kilting is walking down the street, and having a Jock sneer, "Nice Skirt." ... and then his beautiful girlfriend says, "It's a kilt, dumbass."
