Any thoughts of having a Kilt Night in or around Columbus, Ohio?

Sparemaker,
I hope we're not the only 2 in town looking for a kilt night?? Its been a couple of years since I've been crawling in the capital city.
What do we have to do to get more people to join us?
Thanks,
Don

Kilt night
I am getting a kilt soon and was wondering if there are others (more then two?)in the Columbus area with whom I can fellowship (in a kilt of course). Where does everyone wear their kilt to and what is a "kilt night'' anyway? I have just joined the board.

Hey! Your thread is very timely indeed! I am moving to Columbus on January 5th for a new job. Weekends will be rough, because I will be traveling a lot, but week nights are great. Any interest in watching the National Championship Game somewhere kilted?

I was thinking of a get together maybe this week end (01-05) or we could get together the 12th of this month when captain Karrot can join us.
I work in the evening so a week day isn't possible for me. On another note I see that Burns Supper is next month, does central Ohio do anything for this?
I don't know about others but I am not into sports unless of course it is motorcycle related.
Let me know whats on everyones mind.......concerning a get together that is.

I should be available most weeknights starting January 7th, when I start my new job. My family is remaining behind in NC to finish out the school year, so I will typically be flying home to spend weekends with them.
I hear that there is a Brazenhead Pub in Dublin...does that make sense to anyone?

Yes, this is true. Never been there, but there is always a first time.

To be honest, the wife will be out of town for the next 2 weeks and I'll be sitting the not-so wee one.
Having said that, week days are tough for me as well but out of the question for the next two weeks to be sure.
Weekends are always great and if Karrot will be in the twon the 12th maybe we should plan on that?
I know Byrne's Pub has put up with a number of us in kilts before or Brazenhead. Where we go is fine by me, I've got a few others I'll be sure to pass it on to but someone may want to let the place know to expect kilts for that evening????

Why? Would it be unacceptable otherwise? Everyplace I have worn one I have just shown up, with no problems encountered. Not trying to be rude, but the same would occur if we all wore certain hats. It is just a clothing choice. I say "Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead!" Lets just show up!.
