This post from another thread intrigued me. Wouldn't it be great to have an Xmarks cruise? A big rabble of kilties converging on a cruise ship would be a site to see.

As I sit here, poking the keys, drinking my fourth cup of coffee, in my Blackwatch kilt, I find this idea also very interesting.

I have heard of many “special interest” cruises. Some investment radio program is having one. Several Masonic Grand Lodges and Shrine Temples have them annually. I heard of a cooking one, and a mystery book one. Singles cruises exist, why not a kilted cruise? Publicity and planning would be the hard work part.

Ours could have our kilt makers giving classes. Our historians also. Special activities for the kilted. ( a seminar on “How best to respond to the question”) Vendors could come, like at the games. We could throw telephone poles over the side!

    This could be fun!

Will it happen? Probably not, but it sure is neat to think about!

Just as long as it wasn't on one of those floating motorized casino-buffets. With this crowd the captains table would be very crowded. O'Neille

Actually not that hard to put together. Not my normal fare, we usually book very nice (hunting/photo safari) trips to Argentina & S Africa, but it could be done. Just let me know when & where you want to go!

An Alaska cruise is like a week? and would cost maybe $1,200.oo a person for normal cabin?

This has a lot of possiblities....... It should be scheduled about 6 to 8 or more months out, to allow planning.
