Las Vegas must do's or see

So, my wife and I are heading to Vegas next week. Is there anything I just should not miss? We have never been to Vegas before and are really looking forward to it. Thanks in advance, I look forward to everyone's input.

Nothing personifies Vegas like Liberace. Go see his museum.

    my rules to survive vegas
    1. I will loose $xxx amount of money gambling (set within your personal level of comfort)
    2. I will go see a big show
    3. I will spend an obscene amount of money on one dinner.

then spend the rest of your time sight seeing.

The Bellagio fountains are impressive (and FREE!). Check out the art gallery in Bellagio--check ahead to see what is showing.
Eat at Mesa Grill in Cesars Palace for great southwestern food. MIX is another good place but pricey. It is on the top level of THEHOTEL attached to Mandalay Bay. The view is incredible from the 66th floor. Request a table by the window, or on the patio if adventurous.
Ride the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere Tower (110 stories up, I believe) for a thrill.

For a change of pace, rent a car and drive to Red Rock Canyon Park (a state park, I think) about 10-15 miles east of the strip. Lots of good hiking and beautiful desert scenery. Or drive over to the Hoover Dam, which is about 45 min.

Sounds like fun. Wish I were going.

The best place I ever found to relax was the aquarium at Mandolay Bay (you walk through glass tubes and the sharks swim right over you!).

The best show I ever saw was Blue Man Group.

Yes; the museum there is amazing!

Also, I recommend going to Circus Circus and watching their free circus shows. Oh, and the Adventuredome!

The antique car collection at the Imperial Palace. Well worth the visit!
You should also try to get to the "Tilted Kilt" pub and restaurant at the Rio Hotel.
