    Making a bodhran

Ok, I have a World music class and the new assignment is to build an instrument. I would like to make a bodhran? Any ideas on where to start there. Materials needed. . . technique. . .etc?

Beserkbishop I can't help on your request for info, but I would like to complement you on your enthusiasm and determination. I have read several threads now where you have made your own items and the all seem to be well done. I have your enthusiasm but none of your talent. Good luck on the bodhran and please post pictures when done.

Sorry I also can't help with what materials to use. I've been a percussionist for over 15 years but i've never made my own instruments. Good on you though, and good luck!
