Braemar/Argyll jacket

looking for a pattern to make a Braemar or Argyll jacket, not the prince charlie. looked all over the web can not for the life of me find one. anybody have one or know where i can get/buy a pattern.

i want to make a nice lambskin one for my wedding

It's XS-M, but if you look around you can find it in your size if you are larger. Please let us know how it turns out.

The pattern on the EBay ad is the Simplicity # 5029. Of course they don't tell you that.
The pattern was discontinued about two years ago. It looks like someone bought a ton of them and hopes to make a buck.

I tried to use this pattern for a jacket when I was trying to release our Kilt-Cut Sport Coat and found it OK, as far as it went. You should be VERY good at making mens coats however to make a decent jacket from it.

We ended up putting the pattern back into the drawer and starting from scratch.

The kilt part of the pattern is total crap and should be used a tinder for your wood burning stove.

As far as using it for a leather jacket...Good luck.

I found a pattern for an argyll jacket from Simplicity a couple of years ago. I think it's still in their book, but I don't see it on-line. There's also a kilt pattern, but I didn't bother with that. The jacket turned out great.

I'm looking for instructions on how to convert a tux with tails into a Prince Charlie jacket. I've made 2, but I'd like to try a short-cut so I can sew something for myself for a change.
