    USMC, FireFighter & Masonic Accs.

I saw these at Stone Mtn Games. I wanted to share them with my fellow Marines, FireFighters and Masonic Brothers. They were awesome but $1,195.00 was not in my budget.

If only price wasn't a factor......

L & M Highland Outfitters have Masonic and Fire fighters sporrans (sorry Marines). They also do custom sporrans. The sgians shown look plastic and unfortunatly the sets look way overpriced.

I've seen these at other games. Look nice but.... could buy 2 kilts for the same expenditure.

Those are nice! Expensive though. When it's time, I'll think I'll be going here instead:

I've seen the sets before at the Long island games. If memory serves, part of what you are paying for is the custom case that he makes. The items are nice but not exceptional.

I could almost see that but from what I figure (which is worthless since I have not seen these items in person).

    $1195 total
-$20 for the cheap looking belt
    -$60 for the buckle
-$60 for the sgian (it looks to be a cheap plastic one)
-$500 for the sporran and chain
    -$35 for the cuff links
    -$20 for the kilt pin

    = $500 for a box????

I'm no expert wood worker but unless the outside has some good hand carved patterns or something I still say its nice but a bit much.

If these are the same (and I think they are) they are slightly better quality that they look in the pictures, but you absolutely right it is overpriced. I would never consider buying it, first because you can buy better quality for less and second because I don't really want a matching set of anything other than dishes. To me a matched set like that is part of a uniform, maybe for a band.
