I need a weaver, a Calton weaver
Ok, so I'd like to try my hand at kiltmaking; I shall be starting with a cheap brigadoonery-ish tartan, just to practice pleating and nice tapering before upgrading a little. For my second or third kilt (yes, I'm planning ahead a little, but indulge me) I would like to upgrade to wool, but with my student loans coming due soon, I don't care if it's woven in Scotland. Unfortunately, the only North American weaver of tartan I've found seems content with fabric under 11 oz. Can anyone tell me of a decent place to find 13 or 16 oz wool tartan?Aren't there any American weavers out there?
Thanks in advance for the help!
~Mark
