    All Hallows Eve

For most on this forum, the feileadh mhor, belted plaid or great kilt is considered a costume. So, today being Halloween I decided to don it. In my day job as a manager of a homeowners association, it was a big hit. Many of the members are beginning to get use to see me wearing a kilt on Friday so wearing it on another day brings additonal interest.
The picture below is of an Irish couple who live there. I can’t wait to get my St. Patrick tartan kilt from Matt Newsome, as I know they will enjoy it. They had come to the office to bring me a basket of Halloween treats and were elated to see me great them in the belted plaid.

Later in the afternoon, Miss Annette came to office to bring her November assessment fee. She was in awe of the kilt and overjoyed to grant my request to have a photograph taken of us.

My part-time job is an associate of a local Wal-Mart in the sporting goods department. At the suggestion of my wife, I added some blue face paint to become Braveheart. William Wallace’s father was named Malcolm as is my surname so I wore my name badge as Malcolm. I was pleased to see my co-workers had also dressed for the occasion.

Gladys in the electronics department knows I wear kilts. She has expressed interest in seeing some photographs of me kilted. When she came in for the night shift I met her in my kilt and she was sweep away. She will now have her photograph of me kilted and with her!
The other associates and customers will highly complimentary of the Braveheart look. Not a discouraging or smart remark was heard.

I like it, excellent costume, and a wonderful way to introduce the kilt to some people.

Of course, in some parts of the country, the guy in the camouflage is an everyday sight.
