Marton Mills Help!!
Ok this just might be jonesing but, to anyone that has ordered cloth from Marton Mills, how long does it take to arrive? I placed my order on Oct 16, my invoice came 5 days later..and I am still waiting for tartan. The tartan I ordered they said was in stock and could be cut that day, so there is no weave time to wait for.
Wow I just checked their site (it's been updated) and they have Isle of Skye in 16oz wool...now I might have to order again if this order ever comes.
Thanks,
Sara

I never really have to much trouble with MM unless they are weaving a specific tartan for me , they always had the Isle ofSkye in 16oz Jura. It will show up usally between 10 14 days.

Three weeks to two years, seems like the normal time for all things to be delivered.
The first interval is the actual time and the second interval is what it feels like.

Is there a link to go to to order from them? The only link I have ever used lands me on a list of their offerings, and any contact attempts I have made have gone unanswered.

Thanks I think I was jonesing just a bit. I missed the forest for the trees with the IOS, I was too concentrated on the MacArthur.
To place an order you have to call the Mill directly. T +44 (0) 113 284 3364
They take all major credit cards.

I order from Marton Mills all the time. The average is 4 weeks from order placed to at the door.
Of course I'm all the way on the other side of the continent.

This is good info, as I, too, have tried to contact via email with no response. May I ask approx how much they charge for the weights and for shipping?
Thanks, Moosedog

Another fine question which also weighs on my mind. Anyone have a price list, because I don't recall that their site does.

I e-mailed them directly and received an answer that day. For my order it was $28/ meter Canadian or 14pounds. That was for the 16oz Jura range. I have no idea about the other ranges.

Don't mean to pry but how was the shipping and any duties/tariffs?
The price doesn't seem so bad in light of the weak US dollar but getting nailed on surcharges is a great deterrent.
