The biggest problem I saw right away is that the sizes offered are very limited.

It may just be the mannequin that it is on but it just does not look right, it seems to be hanging too loose as a PC should be a tighter fit. Also the buttons on the front do not look like they are in the right position.

The ensemble looks suspisciously like a uniform conversion. That is just my observation from the shape of lapels and the trim on the waistcoat.

Agreed there is too much overlap in the jacket and the buttons are too high and to the side AND you can't see the back

Different than the one I got.
I bought a PC from Sportkilt when I was in the LA area last summer, and I think it's quite a bit different from that one. The buttons on the jacket on the website seem to be oddly located...
The jacket I purchased is pretty good quality. There are no tags declaring the fabric materials, but the claim is that it is wool. There were a couple short sections of "missed" seams on the lining of the jacket, which was disappointing but not too tough to fix. I'm satisfied that I paid a fair price ($150, it was the last of that particular style), but I wouldn't have paid more, I think.

It does look very odd! They need a better picture. Are the buttons "dangly"? Hmmm...

Granted some of this could be the mannequin but it doesn't look like a PC. There is too much material in the front of the jacket, the buttons are in the wrong position and angled out rather than towards the centre of the waist, and the jacket looks too short. The waistcoat shows beneath the jacket.
Also the waistcoat is cut wrong on the sides, which may help account for why it shows beneath the jacket.

While I don't have a problem with Sportkilts, I think they are the perfect answer for highland athletes, I can't imagine wearing a Sportkilt for a formal affair anyway so the PC from them is just strange.
Also, as much as I admire them for a good product, in its niche, I think this PC is a bad deal if it really looks the way it is pictured. Certainly $199 is much cheaper than the standard prices on PC's but it is certainly not below sale prices or ebay deals that I have seen. If someone was considering this I would certainly suggest they shop around first. As an example I found several quickly on ebay for less than $200, and they look like a proper PC.

I bet I could do a conversion better than that! That just looks...cheap.

Actually, I think this is what I wore to my senior prom. I did get the jacket at an estate sale for about $75, but looking at it more closely, I think that whoever had it before me got it from Sport Kilt. Here's the picture:

I just looked at it, and it appears that the buttons on the side were first in a vertical line then removed and sown on in proper alignment.
Here are the buttons on the sleeve:

Here are the buttons on the front:

The reason I think this is because all the other buttons on the jacket are much more floppy, for lack of a better word, and also upside down.
The vest buttons too, I think, were removed and sewn on right side up and tightened a bit.
Here are a few more close up pics.
This is the lapel:

sorry about the poor quality. I have to use the camera in my MacBook.
