Kilts and Drunks: A photo-journal of last weekend's debauchery.
Okay there's no debauchery here, but it got you to come in didn't it? My lady and I took our leave of Austin and headed for the piney woods of Plantersville and Montgomery this past weekend. We had a great time at the Texas Renaissance Festival (it was the highland fling weekend!), and also at our friend Regan's wine tasting party (I still feel the headache). Here is the evidence:
I'm no Connery, but come on! This kilt could make anyone look good. Even me!
Nothing makes me look better than her, though.
Possessive lassie isn't she?
Not sure about this one.
Couldn't pass up this photo-op. What a cutie!
This is what happens when you mix whiskey, mead, and beer. The results speak for themselves.
Just a pretty picture that Kelley took. She has an eye!
Well, really she has two.

First bottle of mead...
Second bottle of mead. Note the change of expression.
A feisty bar maid.
This guy gave me the creeps.
YIKES!
No kilt here, but isn't she a keeper?
Wine anyone?
My first wine tasting experience. Before this night I had relegated my wine drinking to...well, to not drinking it at all!
Good friends. They loved the kilt. And were very curious, too.

I like kilting and drinking, but I've always been afraid of mixing too much of the later with the former. If I were to fall over, think of the innocent bystanders. Not to mention the possibility of scrunched up pleats.
Still, glad to see you were able to pull it off in style!

Then how are you going to win any blue ribbons?
