Sporran size
Hey guys, while I wait for my new(first) kilt to arrive I have been accessory hunting. I have my eye on a few sporrans over at:
http://www.leathersporrans.co.uk/Spo...rans-page1.htm
Was just wondering bout the size, are they fairly roomy as far as sporrans go?
What do you think about quality? They look very nice.
Thanks in advance

If you're looking for a roomy sporran try Turpin's (Thorfinn Custom Sporrans) http://www.thorfinnsporrans.com/3.html. His standard ones are quite roomy and he has also made larger ones to the customer's order.

If you're in the States, don't forget the current exchange rate between the dollar and the pound....and just about every other currency!

I know he has made ONE in a larger size, for a Gentleman of Substance. However, this sporran is more than the average man could handle. It will hold (and has) 1 wallet, 1 change purse, 1 digital camera, 1 cell phone, 1 pack of smokes, 1 lighter, 1 pint glass of Guinness and 1 pint glass of Strongbow, with room to spare!!!
This is not a trifling accessory, it is to be respected and feared and as such, you may be required to pass a pre-purchase test to ensure your readiness for such an item.

The sporrans at leathersporrans.com do look very well made, however the style of them does not lend itself to stuffing full to the brim. A Freelander or a Thorfinn sporran being rob roy style sporrans will hold more, however they are a different look than those at leathersporrans.com

Alright! Thanks for the responses guys. I have a month or two before I can afford to really commit(what with xmas and all). That will give me a chance to get my kilt and decide what style really suits it best. Thanks again for the help.
