Scotland v. Italy
The match is tommorow 9am Pst. If anyone wants to watch this we will be at Doyles in Tacoma. Look for the guy in the Wallace Kilt. Come and support the Scottish side or the Italians if you'd like.
Heres a little clip thats been floating on youtube the last week.http://http://youtube.com/watch?v=pAFA_X-iMHY

I'm not finding any streaming radio on the internet...I've been flipping through the TV channels to see if the match might be on one of the obscure UHF stations...up till now, all I've been able to find is TV Bombay, an old movie in Spanish, Mexican music videos, infomercials, really bad kids' cartoons and some weird indoor soccer in Spanish...oh, and reruns of Police Woman (Angie Dickinson....schwing!).
I even tried the little short wave radio...to no avail.
I don't know if there are any bars around with the match on TV but it's a busy day and getting, shall we say, very relaxed this early isn't going to work out.
Let me know how it goes...

...by the way...that "schwing" was meant to be a bit sarcastic...

Very disappointing result indeed. So no Scotland team and no tartan army going to Euro 2008.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

What a disapointment! At best it was a hand ball agianst Italy, maybe a throw in. Its tuff when you give up a goal in the first 1:30 of the match. Scotland batteled back and tied it at 1-1 in the second half. Scotland defender, Italian attacker going for the ball in the corner of Scottish half. The 2 players slide go down. ReF awards a free kick for Italy. Italy scores. Very near extra time. Game over.
When do we get a break. Stunning!

What is it about Italy? They always seem to get those free kicks. Those bounces. Not to say they aren't talented or there's a big conspiracy, but they should have lost at least three times in the world cup and then they get this free kick...

Let's give Scotland credit. To be in a poll with Italy (last World cup winner) and France (second place at last world cup) and almost beat out one is a huge step in the right direction. It's when they lose out to countries like Iceland and suh that we should shake our heads.
Well done boys! Now let's start getting ready for the next World Cup

Well at least Scotland fans can rejoice in the fact that England also failed to qualify this time around. Maybe now they will realize that they do not have an inherit right to play in every major tournament. So long MacLaren.

It would be good to see a tournament played by the Britsh teams next Summer. Dont think it would happen though.

I missed your post about Doyles, I would have showed up. I live just across the bridge. I stopped in the Wednesday evening before heading home.
Do they have kilt nights there?
