St. Andrew's Night: The NYC Rabble
After a long delay for which I apologize, here finally are some pictures of the St. Andrew's Day gathering of the NYC kilted rabble. We met, appropriately, at the St. Andrew's pub in Manhattan, at which much food and drink was consumed. After punishing our innards thusly, a chilly winter walk up to Rockefeller Center was undertaken.
Here's the whole of the kilted crew at St. Andrew's. I'm afraid I can't identify everyone (I remember their names, but not their online handles; so maybe they will come forward and confess their association with us). Across the back, however, is Galician in Clergy tartan, Chef in Royal Stewart, myself (Cirthalion) in weathered MacKenzie; Dalmore is in the corner in Garrison. BlkWater was also in attendance, but was too busy drinking scotch and fussing with his camera to get in the picture!
A second picture of the rabble, talking amongst ourselves before the previous:
Our ramble up to Rockefeller Center. Sadly, the tree was not lit, but the spectacle of the public awe for BlkWater in his dreadlocks and Holyrood tartan more than made up for it.
My wife, Arathilien, joined us for a shot.
One of just she and I.
Me and Atlas. If only we'd had 30 or 40 ft. of tartan, we could have helped him out...
A bleary-eyed ramble home for me, via Times Square.
Thanks to all who came out. We’re doing it again this coming Saturday afternoon (Dec. 8th), so anyone who will be in the NYC area, don’t hesitate to join us!

Looks like you gents had a great time. It was a nice thought that as we in the Bay Area were raising our glasses in good fellowship that other groups of well dressed kilties were doing the same across the country!
Cheers

Thanks for the photos, Professor! As usual, your wife has done a superb job as keeper of the remembrance icons.
But I see that you already did the Rockefeller Center ramble! I guess it'll already be old hat to you guys for this coming Saturday's shindig
On the other hand, with that photo in Times Square, I nominate you as the new poster boy for kilting!!! :
