    Exclamation Pacific Northwest Weather

I was just reading on CNN about all the floods in the Pacific Northwest. Everybody out there OK? What's going on?

Hey Dee. We survived up here, can't speak for those to the south. Saturday night and through Sunday there was about 11" of snow in my backyard, temp about 28. By Monday morning it was raining and the temp was climbing. By Monday evening the snow was well on its way to disappearing and the temp was about 45. As of this writing the sun is out, its shirt sleeve temp and no trace of snow. Some of the lower areas experienced mild flooding but nothing drastic. So, to answer the question, yea, we doin' fine!

Looks like our brothers and sisters on the Washington and Oregon coast lines really got hammered badly. I hope they are all well. Up here in Idaho we've had a couple of days of heavy snow followed by fifty degree temps and torrential rains but it looks like we're going to come through this fine - talk about crazy weather!

We're OK here in the southern Willamette valley. Some downed trees and local flooding, but everyone seems safe. Thanks for thinking of us! The wind and rain is supposed to hold off a bit, which is good. When the ground gets this saturated the trees come down easy.

Western Wash. was drilled with bad rains on Sunday night thru Monday mourning. South of Olympia and the Grays Harbor area were worst hit.A 20 mile strech of I-5 has been closed since Monday due water over roadway. Heres a link to a local paper. http://www.thenewstribune.com/ http://www.thenewstribune.com/944/story/221060.html

This area is supposed to be in a 100 year flood plain. Funny thing is its flooded 3 times in 11 years. Go figure.
