Man am I ever stoked...Thanks Steve and Jerry
Funny thing happened at the office today...Aside from the routine of Baghdad, I returned to my hooch after a long day of being on QRF (Quick Reaction Force - Counter Assault) to discover I had received an e-mail notification from Jerry at SWK that my Standard Nightstalker Kilt, Nylon Sporran, and black chain was being shipped today.
Later in the day, I was talking to Jay King and mentioned that Steve Ashton owner of Freedom Kilts and former DI commander and AH-64 Apache Pilot had answered my e-mail about purchasing an XMTS patch for my flight suit...He said that he had one lying around and would send it to me for free (since we're kilted brothers and CIVPOL kin) and guess what? It arrived today.
So here are a couple of pics showing my happiness after reading the e-mails and getting the patch...I pinned it to my chest (ouch - only a drop or two of blood spilled) and will sew on the velcro tonight.

me after reading my e-mail (notice the XMTS web page in the background)

me after receiving my package from freedom kilts

me smiling, but in pain after pinning on the XMTS patch to my chest
Thanks Jerry for your prompt service and Thank you Steve for being my brother from a different mother...It really made my day and I will wear it proudly from now on.
Best Regards and merry Christmas to all
Chase

Very, very nice.
Hopefully you'll be home and showing off your badge wounds and new kilts before you know it!

Well, Geez Chase, it took long enough to get there.
But hey, who am I to complain, in my day it would have taken a year to get to the guys at the pointy end of the stick.
It looks good opposite that Canadian flag.
Now all we need to do is get you a Nomex kilt. (with chicken plate of course).

Nice how you wear that badge in pride--even if in pain.
Were the wings on your head an intended effect?

Nomex Kilt...LOL...That would go over great here...LOL.
I will tell Jay to chime in
The wings go good with the color of my hair, which by the way only turned grey after coming here (I call it the Moses effect).

Chase,
Good looking patch. You should wear it for the Houston Kilt-up.
