    A Mother's RAGE

So, I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it. I'm partly embarrassed, partly humored, and partly proud.

What happened? Tonight (as mentioned in another thread) was my company Christmas party. And, I was indeed kilted as I was last year. My mother likes me being kilted. She didn't know what to take of it at first. But, she's always encouraged my need to express myself as I see fit. (It's unbelievable her interest in my tattoos.) Anyway, my father works for the same company in a differenct department, but the same company. So, my parent's were also at the party. It was held at the Casino as it has been the last three years. That in itself can be a breeding grounds for problems. We were leaving the place when two, how do I put this? Two men of the caliber to wear Rustler jeans, solid white sneakers, and mullets. That should put into perspective the quality of individuals I'm speaking of. The two were pretty well lubricated on Coor's light (still toting long necks) when one turns as we pass and makes some sort of comment with vulgarities. I didn't catch all of it, but enough to know he was trying to be big shot to his buddy. Well, my mom... bless her heart. My mom, turns and flips the guy the bird. He definitely saw her. I saw the look of shock on Mr. Mullet's face. Classic. I'm still a bit... I don't know... confused.

    MOM!?!?!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    T. Bradley,

    Support comes in many flavors.
I learned long ago, never get between a Mama Bear and her cub, doesn't matter the age of the Mama or the age of the cub. Looks like Mr. Mullet may have3 learned the lesson too!!!

Don't be too shocked, just enjoy the love.

    Cheers,

Haha. I'm actually not all that shocked. I'm laughing about it now. But, at the moment I was picturing my father and I being arrested for a brawl. LOL. Not surprisingly, this isn't the first time a woman in my life has flipped a trasher the finger on my behalf.

Great story man. That made me laugh.
Their quality of character was perfectly described by the quality of their beer. Coor's light? Yeuch.

    ROFLMAO

That's great... I doubt my mother would do the same, but who knows...

Holy crackers! That's a great story! Sounds like you got an awesome mother there. Good to see she's got your back.

The first lesson in communication is to guage your audience. Your mother did just that and got the message across in a way Mr. Mullet could understand. Good on her!
