TartanWeb
Any of you guys had any experience with TartanWeb? I've swapped a few emails with them regarding stock items, etc, and they have always been prompt, but I know nothing of their quality, etc. Any advice?

The Search feature is a great friend. Run "Tartanweb" and you'll get five pages of posts. Think you'll see positive results if you check them out.
Don't just read the initial post...often folks with problems with some of the problem vendors will mention Tartanweb as an alternative down the thread which is what brings it to the search engine.

I've ordered a couple of small things from them - Normal enough quality. Not cheaply made, standard value.
Never ordered a kilt from them though. Don't think I would at this stage of my life. I have enough tanks coming in or planned, and casual kilts too. Not that I can't always use another kilt.

They have been discussed plenty on this site. As Riverkilt said, do a search for Tartanweb and even Scottishkilts.net
Tartanweb is a sponsor of this site and I have always been satisfied with the dealings I have had with them.

Same as Colin - I have one of their 5 yard kilts and its very well made and one of my favorites to wear. Communication has always been great and they hit their shipping date on the button. Its just a shame the dollar is so weak right now, I have a couple more tartans I'd love to get from them.

Hi, there
Just at this moment thereŽs a kilt in the works I ordered from them. It will be a 5yd Lochcarron Strome in Black Watch ancient tartan (I know , I know: Grant/Munro/Campbell Anyway- I love that simple tartan). Communication with them is perfect. IŽll let you know about the quality when it arrives. (Though- if I were not totally convinced of their good work, I wouldnŽt have ordered from them.)
IŽm looking forward exitedly
Cheers
Thomas

It sounds like they really have their act together. That's good to hear these days.

Every company has their bad moments and off days, but Tartanweb was one of those companies that really cared that their customer was happy at the end of the day. I was not 100% happy with my last order from them (a big part of the fault is on my shoulders too), but the level of customer service I received from Iain and David in the past will have me coming back next time I need anything. The level of service mixed with some great prices, and a really good product is pretty standard with Tartanweb IMHO.

I recently ordered a 8 yard kilt from them and for the price I think the kilt is excellent. I also found the service to be excellent. Just make sure when you are looking at price you factor in any tax or duty you will pay once you get it.
