So, as some of you may have read, I've started a new job. While in training on Wednesday, we were looking at holidays. There were only two of us being trained, so the trainer was relaxed and talking about holidays he wished he had off.

After he mentioned St. Patrick's day, I said: "Oh, I and I've got my kilt and Celtic jersey all ready for it too!" And he sounded surprised that I had a kilt. Turns out he'd bought a 5 or six yard wool kilt sometime ago ( I forget the tartan). I couldn't believe my luck and I was about to ask him if he wanted to come to work kilted with me on that day (We have a pretty relaxed dress code and don't have to deal with the public). BUT he then proceeded to explain how his kilt accidentally ended up in both the washer and dryer!!!

He plans on getting another, but is stuck with a little rag now

At this point the other trainee (Galeb, from Israel and a native Hebrew and Arabic speaker) has to ask us "what is a kilt?" After some explanations from us, he asks: "Why don't you just call it a skirt?"
