my new Stillwater kilts
Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents on Stillwater. I ordered a Hay ancient last summer to wear at my wedding in July. It turned out very nice, ordered a PV kilt since it is very hot and humid in GA in July. This kilt has a tag in it saying "John Morrison". I liked the feel of a kilt and so I ordered 2 from Stillwater, a Buchanan thrifty and a solid black economy, and was extremely impressed with the quality and fit. Also got the usual super fast shipping that Jerry is so famous for. After doing some family geneaology I discovered I had Stewart in my ancestry and ordered a Black Stewart along with a Black Watch (I love that tartan) and saw a irregular Wallace in the closeout section in my size for $22.00, all in thrifty. Couldnt resist at that price. I also ordered a belt and buckle and a pair od sporran hangers. The order was placed on a Thursday night at 10:30 and I received the package in the mail on Tuesday. Unbelievable. The kilts are gorgeous and are currently at the seamstress being hemmed. I just wanted to say thanks to Jerry and Stillwater for letting me embrace my heritage and enjoy being kilted without breaking the bank. By the way, the entire order, including shipping, came to $125.00 and change. Thats 3 kilts, a belt with buckle, and a set of sporran hangers. Wow. I cant wait to get them back so I can enjoy wearing them.

I don't have all Stillwaters, but pretty close. Thet're great kilts, and you can't beat the price or service.

Congrats on the kilts and the service. And welcome to the fray.
BTW, what are you doing on the 25th? Care to join us for a little Burns Supper in Conyers?

Hey Kiltedbassist
I have three SWK's and will own more soon. I like not only the way they fit, but the way they are put together, especially considering the price. Welcome from the Western Slopes.

Sounds like you've done well for yourself.
John Morrison's is an old Scottish mill that I believe has been taken over by the infamous gold brothers. (That said, they still knock out damn good off the rack kilts for good prices.)
You should get a nice thread going with pictures of all your purchases :P

From one Hay to another, welcome to the forum.
I have the Ancient Hay tartan in PV and a Hay Modern in wool.
I really like the deep red of the Hay Modern, and the soft colors of the Hay Ancient.
