    Exclamation Hi-vis kilt !

A story in this morning's 'The Times' (U.K.) reports that a Swedish (!) designed kilt made specifically as workwear will soon be availible in the U.K.

'The Craftsman Kilt' joins the company's existing denim kilt as an alternative to the standard construction industry uniform of jeans or erm, jeans.

Featuring two nail pockets, a loop for the all important 'multiple adjuster tool' (hammer) and a knife pocket, the kilt's made in 100% cotton. The makers, with a flourish of inspiration known to the rest of us for years claim that it's cool in summer and warm in winter - and that it provides a 'natural breeze '.

    Well I'll Be .......!

It's also comes in a standard Hi-Vis version. So no more excuses from the health and safety brigade.....

The story's probably on http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/ site, but their servers appeared to be busy whan I looked amoment ago.

I'd be interested to see if it picks up as much intrest in the UK as utilikilts have in the US.

I dare not think what the hi-viz kilt will look like though. (I know its unlikely, but it does inspire thoughts of a Flurescent yellow and relective silver tartan!)

That is just ace and at an affordable price. One of the problems with my black DIY/gardening kilt is the lack of pockets. I am often to be found with a mouthfull of screws, a drill in one hand and a screwdriver in the other, and a puzzled look. How do I now get up the ladder?

A Utilikilt would do fine, but then I would kinda like to keep it clean. Now £44.75 plus tax....

BTW when I first opened the URL I thought it was a BLACKADDER kilt. The perils of being a VIP (visually impaired person)

I could see a walking kilt in hi-vus yellow hidden parts of the pleats in a reflective material. Talk about flash when you walk.

The Frugal Corner Isle of Skye or McLeod Bright, perhaps?
