Computer problems
OK, I'm hoping someone can help me out. My computer(s) are almost constantly being denied access to web sites, but randomly. I'll be surfing along say here, when all of a sudden I get "Problem loading" screens. I can't get the sites I hit most, but sometimes I can still pull up random pages that I have bookmarked. After about 15 min, the problem goes away. If it were just one site, I'd chalk it up to traffic, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Rebooting doesn't help, bypassing the wireless router doesn't help (except when it does). I can still download e-mail when I can't access the net.
Any ideas?

Have you done a good virus and root kit check lately? Sounds like you have too much going on in the background.

delete al of your Cookies and re-boot. A spyware and virus scan may help too. Spyware can really gum up the works

Adam - Who's your ISP? I've been having this issue lately myself. I'm using FUSE.

I'm using fuse/zoomtown at work, not having any problems. Adam, have you tried running ad-aware or anything like that? Seems like it's a spam problem.

I just downloaded a free-to-try program on the recommendation of a friend. I'd used a couple of adware and spyware programs to try and get rid of a nasty false security alert I had gotten, and neither could remove it. The trial program did the trick very nicely. I'm actually considering buying the full program when the trial is up.
Good luck, Adam!

You didn't say what platform you have? Apel or pc or windoze or linux or ??
If you are running windoze, I have had good luck with these two programs.
http://registrypatrol.com/ and http://xpmedic.com/
They are free to run the basics, but cost to in depth stuff. I carry them around on a cd and use them on peoples problems when asked to help.

Also, look at your wireless. If it's not secured, people might be stealing bandwidth from you, causing slower loading speeds and browsing. Make sure it's password protected.
