    Winter Classic - Bethlehem, PA

Anyone going to the Winter Classic on March 1st and 2nd?

    http://www.celticfest.org/WinterClassic/WinterHome.html

I may show up on the 2nd, kilted of course. This is the second year for this event, and is from the same folks that host the Celtic Classic. I was not able to go last year, so if anyone was able to attend the 1st Winter Classic, please feel free to share your thoughts as well.

I think a few of the NYC kilt group went to the summer event last year. Galician? Andrew?

I recall hearing something like that on one of our kilt nights.

Here's the link to my review of the event last year:
    http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=24412

I attend a lot of celtic festivals and concerts every year and that was definitely the worst I have been to. There was no doubt that it was a first year event as it was extremely unorganized and not well thought out. The schedule was running very late all day, little selection in food which was very expensive, very few vendors (literally less than a dozen), and most importantly, very poor sound quality. We had a good time but it was not worth the admission fee, so to speak.

On the brighter side of things, though, it will certainly be better this year as I am sure they have learned a few things from last year's show. I don't know yet if I will be attending or not. I noticed the music lineup is not very good this year except for Scythian and the Prodigals. I also noticed they are showing highland athletics on the schedule. They didn't have this last year so I'm not sure how that will work indoors.

If you attend, do yourself a favor and catch the Scythian show.

If would also suggest you may be interested in attending this event as well or instead:

It's much larger in number of vendors and has an incredible music lineup.

Thanks for the review. I've been to Celtic Fest in September and that is done very well...although I do think it has become a bit large.
