That's a big change!
I'm planning on seeing them on the 9th in Stamford, CT. Have you heard them before? Has anyone else here?

I saw them a couple of weeks ago in Wheaton, IL. Great show, even on a smallish stage. I also saw them a number of years ago in the old Rosemont Horizon, where they had a lot more marching room and more pipers. They currently have eight pipers on stage at any given time with at least one more backstage. I saw alot of tartan but fewer kilts than I expected. Still all in all a very enjoyable evening.

With a venue like this, I'm torn between regular jacket or PC......???
I'm leaning towards just a dressy look right now.... depends on what the wife throws on.

The crowd was more on the casual side in Wheaton. But, it as very cold and we had just been hit by a major snow storm. So I might also let my wife dictate what I was going ware. Take along some pocket money as they are asking for contributions for the British and American soldiers in Iraq, as the just returned from active duty there.

Oooooooo, those of you that are going to see them in the next few weeks are in for a treat! We had a blast! I took a few pics using my camera phone as photography is generally prohibited and will upload them as soon as I can.
In addition to the tunes of the British Isles, they performed a wonderful tribute to the good ol' US of A (and they even threw in the Yellow Rose of Texas *sniff*) by honoring all of the branches of our military past and present as well as some of our "national" songs.
All in all it was a great time!

I went to the Dragoons/Coldstream show in San Diego last night-- fabulous! The performance was super in every respect. The dancers' kilts swirled in exact unison during the Sword Dance and especially the Fling. The musicians were beautiful. How many other locals went to the show-- Mr MacMillan?
I enjoyed the 18th century Coldstream band-- never saw or heard a Serpent in real life before! It was interesting to hear how a military band of that time sounded. The pipers' competition set was hair-raising (in a *good* way). Cool cool cool.
