Seattle Kilted!
Ok, there's rumblings, but no real movement for a kilt night here in the great emerald city.
I move that we start planning one, even if we wait until after St. Patrick's day.
I know of St. Andrew's up by greenlake. Great food, cool staff, I've seen kilties there before.
Any other location ideas? Anybody interested? If not, It'll just be me and my girl, and that's fun, but it would be better with a room full of loud kilties having a good time.
Who's with me?

If you are going to wait till after St. Patrick Day, why not focus on observing Tartan Day?

I would be interested. Gonna be out of town until the 25th, but if it is after that I am certainly interested. I will see if my roommate might be interested as well.

I'd certainly be interested, but I'm a little tied up with a show right now.
BUT, (blatant plug approaching) if you want to link a kilt night with my show, I can certainly arrange for a discount for all kilted lads, and join for a drink after....

Tartan Day
That's also a great idea. I don't know of anything going on in the city for tartan day. Does anybody else? If not, let's do something then as well.
Ok, I'm going to be kilted on saturday the 15th. Which is when St. Patrick's day is in Ireland. Good enough for Ireland, good enough for me. I will be at the parade during the day, at my party in the afternoon, and I'll end up at St. Andrew's for some pub fun. I'll be there 8ish, especially if people want to come meet me kilted, or not kilted for that matter. Come one, come all.
Let's plan something for tartan day! Pub night? Who's in?

Sounds good to me. I should be able to break away for one on the 6th. This month might be a bit clobbered, since I've been pretty busy with projects as of late.
Eastside is better for me, but if it needs to be in Sea-town, we'll make it work.

Tartan Day
Ok, I'm going to stop by the bar that I have in mind and see if they want to get involved on an official level. I think that, with time running out, St. Patrick's day will have to be a "hope that I run into you there" situation. But I'm going to ask them if they have any plans for tartan day, and if they would like a regiment of regimentals on that saturday night.

Murphy's Pub, St. Padrick's day
there will be a large contingent of Kilted folks, my self included at Murphy's Pub from about 6pm on on St Padrick's day....
The World Renown Elliott Bay Pipe Band will be performing throughout the evening...i'll be trying to keep drunks from putting their hand thru my bass drum (requiring me to then kill them. and disposal of bodies is SO inconvienent)
For more information, see www.elliottbaypipeband.com for more infomation.
Slainte!
