    Leatherneck Box

Here's my new Matt Newsome Leatherneck box - It came in yesterday. So I wore it last night for a degree at Lodge. Oh - and don't rag me about the hose, I changed them a little later. Nice kilt, light weight, nice hand, great workmanship. Everything that has been said of Matt's work is true about this kilt.

It's a little rumpled from the ride over to the Lodge. I think it looks very nice with the PC. This proves that a casual kilt, doesn't have to be worn casually!

Stand proud Jay! You look awsome. I also wear my tartan long skirt to OES and Rainbow functions. Very nice indeed!

I've gotta disagree with this statement. This is NOT a "casual" kilt. You should have a read of Matt's article on these box pleated kilts if you've not already.

    Looks fantastic btw.

IMHO I think the hose is just fine. There is some dark green in the leatherneck and you just chose to bring it out a little bit. Congrats on Newsome! ahh a couple of months and I will be at the bottom of the greatest kilt list ever.

    Thumbs up Looking Sharp, Marine!

I usually wear dark green hose with my Leatherneck tartan and am pleased with the way the flashes seem to tie it all together. BTW, nice spit polish on the shoes too!

Jay, that is one fantastic kilt! I am trying to talk a buddy of mine into a kilt and the Leatherneck Tartan may just be that in road as he is a member of "Uncle Sam's Motorcycle Club" as well. ;)

Looks good Jay, I echo TatBrad these are NOT casual kilts. They may not be an 8 yard tank but they are traditional/formal.

Great kilt James, but I'm with the gentlemen above. This is not a casual kilt.

I also like the green hose with your kilt. However I would think that a marine could get the turnover the same on both legs.
