Michigander in Virginia
Greetings, one and all!!
I'm a transplanted Michigander (Cheboygan), who has recently moved to the Greater Richmond, Virginia area! After retiring from serving our country in the U.S. Navy, Attached to the 2d Marines at Camp Lejune, NC (Corpsman-up!), I returned home for a few years. Civilian life was a we-bit tedious, so I looked for a position with the uniformed services, once more! Now, I'm supporting our men and women of the Army, in the health field.
Ordered my first kilt a little over a week ago, and am anxiously awaiting delivery!! Going with my family tartan (Modern Buchanan) for my initial entry into the kilted community. Still trying to find a reasonable Hunting Buchanan. Plan on adding the Navy and Marine tartans, as budget will allow!
If anyone hails from the Denver Colorado-area, I'll be heading there the weekend of May16th! Maybe we could get a gathering for pint or two?!?!

Hello and a warm from Boston, Massachusetts.
Enjoy the Richmond area. The board has quite a few members in Virginia, and they occasionally get together for a kilt night.

Happy to see a fellow Michigander (as opposed to Michiganian!).
Arizona now, but my heart's in the Great Lakes.

Semper Fi, and thanks for your service.
Imagine Richmond has changed since I lived there in the early 70s.
Have both the Edzel and Leatherneck tartans, they're both beautiful and worth saving up for.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
