It Only Took 2 Years But....
Sigh...I just bought the TFCK Pinstripe Kilt Suit that Dougie is wearing on their site. Just got measured by Howie and now I have the MAJOR jones going on.....
On top of that I have 2 leather Utilikilts coming in (Black and Brown) sometime this month...
It's a kilt jonesin' fiesta in my office right now...
(PS Yes...it's been a while since I last posted...let's just say work is INSANE right now!)

Way to go, Guy! Good choices sometimes take a while to work out.
Any chance you'd join us for the parade on Saturday?

WOW! Though none of those are particularly my taste, those are some high-end items you're jonesing! Congrats.

Well I was just out your way for work last week and made the requisite pilgrimage to the UK flagship store to see Nate and Uncle Otto and take in my nightwatch camouflage mocker kilt (don't ask me how I got THAT one) for repair as well as get a khaki survival and a new pair of New Rocks. Let's say the tax return check is GONE...the "economic stiumuls check" is going to pay for the pinstripe!

Well they've been on the list for a couple of years now so to actually put the money down for them was a little daunting but I can't wait. High end jonesin' for sure but knowing that the kilt suit and the leathers are, for the most part, investment pieces I can wear for a LONG time and get a lot of use out of, I don' feel the slightest bit guilty....
Just don't tell my mother

Investments INDEED! That's how I feel when I have a woolen kilt made. The contemporary kilts really aren't my thing, though I have to admit a leather kilt has it's appeal in a certain way...

Oh, you HAVE been out of touch!! No, the Scottish government pulled the plug on the Tartan Village. There's some threads on that here.
Saturday, some of us are going to the brunch run by the St. Andrew Society. Others are going to meet for lunch then head to watch the parade. There's a thread on this labeled "NYC Tartan Day Parade."
Do let us know if you'd be able to join us for lunch, so as to make a reservation.
