    New Gralloch

I was wanting a new knife to stick in my hose but I didn't want a traditional Sgian Dubgh.
A friend made this Gralloch (skinning knife) for me. The blade is 100 year old horse drawn roadgrader steel, forged and edge quenched to 1075. Brass spacers and antler grip- Overall length is 7 5/8" with a blade length of 3 1/2".
I really like this knife. It will get alot of use.

    Sounds cool.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Very nice. I have a couple of "real" knives that I stick in my hose every-once-in-a-while.

I'm sure the history and usefulness of your new blade will make it more fun to wear!

    Congratulations!

    Nice work,

You've inspired me to use up a few Laminated blades that are waiting for purpose.

    Cheers,
