Kilt belts with velcro adjustment?
Does anyone have opinions/experience with kilt belts with the velco adjustment?
Are they comfortable?
Are they bulky?
thanks in advance

My buddy just got one, and it seems to work good. But I would agree that it is a little more bulky that I am used to. Especially at the point from where the velcro attaches to where the buckle is. I think I personally prefer a standard 3" belt that's not velcro, but it does work well for my friend I believe.

I had a kilt belt that had the buckle adjustment inside the belt instead of velcro. I would think that those would be much bulkier than the velcro adjustment belts.
Next time I buy a kilt belt it will be the velcro adjustment kind and it will very likely be from Stillwater.
I fixed the title of the thread for you.

I have both a 'regular' and a 'velcro'. I didn't think I would like the velcro, but it actually fits much better as I don't have to rely on holes someone else decided on. I get a much better fit with the velcro.

As stated above, the velcro does allow for more adjustment. I also have a buckle adjustable belt and it sees very little use due to its bulk. Unless you are considering having a belt made to measure, (see Oconee Leather), I would recommend a velcro adjustment.

I do not like the Velcro adjustable belts, for me they are too bulky, but it makes changing out buckles easier. I am going to order a belt from Oconee Leather Works.

I have two belts now, one with the velcro attachment and one with a hidden strap and buckle attachment. I definitely like the velcro one better, despite the fact that it does cause a it more bulk where that side of the buckle attaches.

I don't mind the bulk. I actually prefer it to the bulk that results from passing the tail of the belt through. I really like the one I got from SWK. but I guess thats because I was used to a thick hard brown leather construction belt.

I have the StillWater kilt belt with velcro. It's not too bulky or anything. It will have a little bit of a gap between the front and back of the belt right at the part that has folded around the buckle.
That being said, I like the other kind with the buckle prongs that go through holes in the belt for more casual dress because those buckles aren't as... big or flashy maybe. Perhaps somewhere there is a buckle that looks like a prong buckle, but works on the velcro belts...
