Here is a caber
The ultimate caber, 24 feet 10 inch and 280lb. I believe a fellow NY Xmaker
got a few pictures of the caber when at the NY tartan day parade. There is even talk about it on a popular Highland athletic site. http://www.nasgaweb.com/forums/forum...?TID=6829&PN=1

Thanks for posting that, HT. I believe that I read on another thread that, prior to its transformation into a caber, it had been the official Christmas tree for a city in Scotland (Glasgow?).
So its death was certainly not in vain!

That's not a caber, that's a ships mast!
I'd really like to see someone pick and turn that monster. Actually, with that much taper if you could get it picked the turn might not be as hard as you think. The problem of course is picking a caber that long and that heavy without losing it.
*For the non-athletes, a 'pick' is the act of lifting the caber from the ground, not choosing it*
