Georgia Scottish and Celtic Group

Hey folks,

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything but life gets busy at times. That being said, I have just taken over a group that was on Meetup.com called the Georiga Scottish and Celtic Group. Basically, these folks want to meet up and discuss all things Celtic. We had our first meeting on Friday April 18th, and we only had about 6 folks but they seemed really enthusiastic about the group. I mentioning this here since I know we have a good number kilt wearers that might like to meet some folks with similar interests. The groupl is planning on attending several events within the next few months including the Georgia Ren Faire, and Blairsville Highland Games in June. We are going to have a meeting about once a month for now, and we are going to have a Google group set up for talking inbetween meetings.

I am actually surprised that more folks have not contacted me about this. I know we have a bunch of folks in the Atlanta area that would love a chance to come out for a few pints and show off the kilts!

I've been so slammed lately I haven't looked into this, Bam. There hasn't been much SEKS happening lately, since before Tartan Day. busy times I guess. I will look in when I get freed up. Not lack of interest, just time. Plus trying to stay afloat on posts here after a week away - 11 pages of new posts!
