Illinois St. Andrew Society Highland Games 6/20-6/21
Chicago area Highland Games will be held at the Oakbrook Polo Grounds in Oakbrook, Illinois June 20-21. I'm planning to be there. Any one else?

I was there last year. It's a lot of fun! I'll try to be there again this year.

I run the clan Chisholm tent. If anyone needs a place to meet, I'll be right in the middle of the place. By the way if you can do both days, the cailidh on Friday night is kind of nice place to kick back, have a cold one and listen to the bands when it's not so crowded.

I'll be there...hopefully with a new kilt (which I had anticipated picking up at the Highland Games but it looks like the kiltmaker is going full steam ahead and I may have it ahead of time).
I would love to get there for the Friday festivities but it's a long drive out there and back...they should let attendees camp out...maybe on the nearby golf course. Pitch your tent on the driving range?

AA.
If you need camping facilities, there is a campground at the Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville, Illinois. But you live closer than I do, and it only takes me about 40 minutes to get there. You could sleep in my booth and guard the cooler, I'll bring coffee in the morning.

I plan to be there both days. I think my nephew James (who has posted here as Seamus) will be there too.

I'll be there on Saturday. Looking forward to it, as it's my first Highland Games!

I will most probably be there.

Wit' one month to go, I'm inserting a shameless bump here!
...now how shall we all know each other...other than the fact that we WILL be the best dressed and classiest hombres out there...
I'm already working on a dandelion freshness-preserving mechanism! Trouble is that I'll need a 600 foot extension cord if I want to get from the parking lot to the Polo Grounds....

I like the dandelion idea. Why don't I put a vase of them out, and whom ever takes one is XMTS'er.
