Cowboy Action Stuff
Off topic, but I suppose as relevant as some of the SCA threads... Any Xmarkers into CAS?

Seems I'm riding that same horse... er, hoss. I've sent the local group several emails, but haven't had any replies. If I hear anything I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, I'm in that boat, manning an oar. I don't really have time to be involved in anything much at the moment, but if I ever graduate....

I contemplated it (SASS is related, correct? I think that was the group I was looking at), but mainly because I was into Victorian costuming. I had to put the sewing on hold for now and only have one gown. I'm honestly not sure how much I would have gotten involved since I'm mainly interested in costuming (bustle gowns, etc). Once I get back to sewing eventually, I might consider checking out some events, though.

Its BIG out here in Arizona. I enjoyed the "dress up" part and the gatherings...fantastic outfits. Never bought the firearms though, went for the non-firing replicas.
One cool thing about that World/hobby/sport is a lot of the old time looking shirts go very well with kilts.
I get mine from Wild West Mercantile. Think you just add .com to that and get their website.

Not really, but I am having a 2 1/2" billeted gun belt customized to use as a kilt belt. I have this really cool Chisholm Trail belt buckle that only fits a 1 3/4" belt. So they are removing the bullet loops and it now becomes a 2 1/2" kilt belt with a really nice buckle.

I've chatted with a few of the members.
We just sent a cape to a competitor in PA.

I used to shoot SASS (that's where I got my screen ID), but since the career change and going back to school, I haven't gotten back into it.
The question is can I go back kilted????
Cheers,

I don't want to get into politcs here, but for every one's information, we in the UK had to surrender our legally held pistols some years ago.I could go on,but perhaps not.
