    Displaying Kilt Pins

I stole this idea from my wife. she used it to display her ear rings.

What is used is one half of the screen that is used in a window without permanent screens. The screen halves slide back and forth to fit difference size windows.

there is enough slack in the screen to allow you to put the pin into one of the screen holes and back out through another hole lower down the screen.

This would look very nice if you are a wood worker and made a wooden frame. If you make one leave a little slack in the screen. In this case the screen is plastic.

In the rendevous [1840's fur trade gatherings] world, a wood hoop with a skin stretched over it is used in this way hung in a camp to display event medalions... Thinking of a way to use a 10 year accumulation of these things... KILT PINS!... Thanks for the idea....

I have a hanging length of tartan about 5 inches wide and about a yard long that has all my kilt pins in.

Yes, mine are in a bit of tartan as well. Adding a wooden frame might be a nice touch! Thanks for the ideas...

I finally have enough kilt pins so that I don't change them anymore, so mine are displayed on my kilts..... But this is a great idea for other stuff.

I have a felt hanging that I use for other pins and badges that I have collected in Scouting, Masonry, Corps and other activities.

I like how much thought people on here seem to put into their kilt pins. Until I joined the forums I always considered kilt pins as sort of an afterthought. From now on I'm going to look for some unique pins to put on my kilts. The screening is a really good idea too.
