If I hadn't been in Gatlinburg, and had known you were coming to Huntsville, I'd have treated you to a pint at Finnegans!

You may not feel marvelous, but yoo looook marvelous.
I was thinking about getting one of the 18-button piper's doublets. What exactly is uncomfortable? Is it not a good fit, or was it just too hot to wear when throwing your D? Feel free to pm your response if you'd prefer.

<< What exactly is uncomfortable? >>
I must've been hanged in a former life. I'm not fond of things encircling my neck. Any stiff, stand-up collar isn't gonna be comfy. This model is held together with Velcro in lieu of the typical loops & hooks. Certainly does secure easily though.
But the hook portion of the Velcro can rub against the neck. Moments before I left for the ceremony, I thought to wear a formal shirt that has a stand-up collar - the kind you wear with a button cover. It stopped the Velcro chafing instantly.
The remaining discomfort is with the collar & crossbelt combination. They kinda restrict upper torso movement. Actually not so uncomfortable as prohibitive.
The temperature at the outdoor wedding wasn't unpleasant, but eventually someone's gonna want me to wear it during the dog days.
Other than that Mrs Lincoln.... chicks really dig this outfit even more than the kilt alone.
And you can't see it, but I was wearing a mammoth-ivory handled dirk too. Funny how those things snag just about anything.
Slainte,
steve
