    Spring Interlude for City Folk

Short version of the story: My lady's daughter boarded her mare in Cow Springs, AZ on the Navajo reservation. One day the mare got loose and a Navajo stud found her. After moving her mare to Flagstaff a colt was born two weeks ago.

Lady Jay and Bailey (just two days old).

And now at just over two weeks old....

    Bailey playing antelope.

Bailey celebrating life on spring grass in a forest meadow.

    Bailey playing gazelle.

Thank God I'm a Country Boy!

Nice photos, Ron. From a dumb ole Southern boy who is the issue of hillbillys and farmers, I really appreciate the pix. That's a very handsome colt.

Isn't it amazing how functional they are when they're so young?!? It reminds me of last weekend, when I saw somebody walking their Irish Wolfhound around the farmer's market. I struck up a conversation, and they said that the dog was only 3 months old, but he was HUGE!

    Animals are so fascinating!
