I guess this explains McDonald's announcement today that it would stop serving tomatoes on its products.

Same at Subway today, no tomatoes. That's alright, I don't like the slimy things on my sandwich anyway.

For what it's worth, that's another reason you should try to buy local produce as much as possible. Not only is it better for the local economy and environment, but it also reduces your exposure to nationwide disease outbreaks.
