    An unexpected gift

A while ago I sent some kilt accessories to Casey for his prom, a couple dress sporrans, and a few other things. Today the Bovine sporran that I lent him came back in the mail, inside the sporran was a quite unexpected gift, a handmade sgian dubh. I've got to sat this sgian is the most comfortable I've ever worn, and it is a very handsome day wear piece I will be proud to wear it often. Thank You Casey for the wonderfully thoughtful gift, also be sure to pass my thanks on to your father as well. As well as the Sgian which really is a beauty and has a very usable blade there was a photo of Casey and his date at the prom, thanks for that as well Casey, you both looked absolutely stunning.

I realize a thread like this is useless without pictures so here they are, again thanks Casey it really is a wonderful sgian.

That is awesome!! I have been putting off getting or wearing a sgina dubh, wanting to have something more modern and practical. That is it. The gears are turning.....

That is a good looking Sgian. Favorite part is the wooden sheath. What a great gift.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Sounds like two pretty nice guys: McMrudo for loaning out his stuff, and Casey for showing great class in returning it with a gift.

    Gotta love this place.

Very interesting design - not traditional but certainly functional. Thanks for sharing.
