Sword Ban and the effects on Highland Dance
This article was sent to me from an X Marker who thought it was of interest it appears to be quite relevant to our Highland Dancers
http://news.scotsman.com/latestnews/...cut.4171828.jp
It appears that exceptions for some cultural events/activities are already being provided for.
Cheers

There's actually a petition to have this amended to include folk dances which use swords.
You can sign it here!!!
Personally, I really hope and believe that it will be altered. It's too important a thing to be ignored.

This really is sad, Arlen unfortunately and I'll quote from the site.
"You must be a British citizen or resident to sign the petition.Or, if you're an expatriate, you're in an overseas territory, a Crown dependency or in the Armed Forces without a postcode, please select from this list:"
If I could I would sign the petition gladly, my Grandmother was a highland dancer, many were the times she would regale us with stories of the sword dancing.
