    Random stuff

I was watching Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBCA last night, he got a bunch of French chefs into kilts in Inverness. Properly oufitted they were.

I also received a call from James at Sportkilt and in an hour or so I'll be down to pick up my pinstriped wool kilt. I'll even take pichurs of it this weekend.

CT - he said the narrow pleats look sweet

SportKilt makes wool pinstriped kilts?! I may have to get a refund on those plane tickets.

I dropped in on Sportkilt this morning just to look around. Absolutely great bunch of people.
They showed me your kilt, you are going to be quite pleased with it!

Ah, so you're the Beaumont folks escaping the broiler heat. James said some nice people had dropped by.
I'm gonna go put it on the wear to the Irish Faire today.

CT - oh, bring in a few (or 4) yards of pretty much anything and SK will do it.
I'm gonna do 1 inch pleats next (well, they are cuz they're a great bunch of sew and sews)

I have just been pressing my grey 'almost pinstripe' kilt in cotton - it is hot and humid here at the moment and I need more lightweight kilts.

The pinstripe is quite a mindboggling choice - it is the only pattern where you could pleat it to both the stripe and the sett at the same time.

They always look rather smart, I think, more than a plain coloured one. I'm looking forward to pictures.

I had 'em put the pinstripe at the edge of the pleat and it came out very nice, my error was not having enough fabric for them to make the pleats deeper but James did give me the address of one of his suppliers so when this hellacious heat drops a little (c'mon now, 108 is a little excessive !) I'll make a run up there and get a few new colors and such. It's not far from my pinstripe supplier as well.
The coolest part is the stripes are an inch apart so the next one will have 1 inch pleats.
I'll have better pictures for posting later (sweat-stained shirt, belt buckle off-center, ... it just wasn't good)

CT - but I have a new favorite kilt
