    Royal Mile Interactive

A recent thread discussing the location and quality of kilt shops on the Royal Mile reminded me of this interactive site listing all the wynds and closes.

    Enjoy

Great site. Just got back from 10 days in Scotland, 6 in Edinburgh, and had I known about this stie before I went I would have spent a lot more time exploring the nooks and crannies of the Royal MIle a bit more thoroughly. Having my wife and our 4 month old son with us, in a stroller, might have limited our options a wee bit, but it still would have been a bit more enjoyable to see the backroads of the old part of town instead of just the tourist laden string of tat shops below the castle. Bookmarked the site for my return visit which I hope will not be long in the future. Thanks.

    Thats a fantastic website. Thanks!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
