Kilt Walk 2008

I gather from McMurdo that many of you have already attended the annual Kilt Walk in Edinburgh, but here's a link to this year's event:

I'll be travelling there myself and hope to bump into a few posters. Maybe we could find a way of identifying ourselves to each other, if I'm allowed to say that on here, so that we might go for a pint of 80/- or five in somewhere like the Scotsman's Lounge at the top of Cockburn Street, or Deacon Brodie's, for example?

It'll be my first time. I just happened to see a flyer for it in the Scotsman's Lounge when I was in Edinburgh a week or two back. Edinburgh is an easy day trip for me from my home in Northumberland. My family and I go up there about every couple of months on average.

I'll not be able to get sponsorship forms filled out as I'm an agency nurse, but I'll take a bucket to collect on the day.

Deacon Brodies is an old haunt from my days in legal practice in the nearby law courts, happy to meet there, though it will be a soft drink for me as I gave up the booze four years ago.

Sorry I will not be able to get all the way up to Auld Reekie for this event (again). The Rock Trust sent me all the info about two weeks ago (probably because I donate directly in lieu of walking).
